Farmer's Insurance is sponsoring a docu-shred event on from 7-9 a.m. on Dec. 11 at its Hillsboro location, 23175 NW Bennett Street.

In cooperation with Commmunity Action and Iron Mountain, Farmer's Insurance is gearing the event toward for individuals and families, not for businesses, schools, government offices or other large generators.

Residents can bring bags and boxes of personal documents to be shredded in exchange for a donation to Community Action of diapers, infant clothing, baby wipes or suggested donation of $5 per banker box, or $10 per tall kitchen bag.
